“Joseph, her fiancé, was a good man and did not want to disgrace her publicly, so he decided to break the engagement quietly. As he considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. ‘Joseph, son of David,’ the angel said, ‘do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. For the child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit.'” Matthew 1:19-20 NLT
Famous must place a great deal of trust in me. Perhaps he has no choice, or perhaps it was earned over years. My place is not large, so if he has settled on the floor in the middle of the hallway, there is little room on either side of him. Even if I am trying to step over him with a full laundry basket, he remains confident I will gently step over him rather than harm him.
Inspired by his dream, Joseph chose to trust the movement of the Holy Lord rather than what made common sense to him at the time. This is how we allow God to work in our lives.
Teach me to place my trust in Your ways today, God.
