What is the value of the gift of a life? As much as he instinctively understands I care for him, Famous cannot fathom the impact his life has on mine and consequently the lives of many others. His “ripple” may not be that of a Lassie, but it is sure to outlive him.
God invites us to be a blessing to others, and often in ways which we do not understand. But first we have to be able to receive a blessing from God. We must accept his grace and favor so that we are equipped to handle the fear, disappointment, and injustice which are a part of this world.
When we receive God’s blessing and protection, then He can use us to bring about his kingdom on earth. We should never doubt his love for us and his purposes for directing us in this life.
Guide me today in delighting in Your love, dear God, and then transform me into Your instrument of peace.
