“Then God said, ‘Let there be a space between the waters, to separate the waters of the heavens from the waters of the earth.’ And that is what happened. God made this space to separate the waters of the earth from the waters of the heavens.” Genesis 1:6-7 NLT
Both Famous and I were very happy to walk outside this afternoon. Rains, storms, and damaging winds had kept us waterlogged throughout the week. Water poured down from the heavens and gathered in puddles on the road and on top of the saturated ground. Between the flood from above and the flood from below, it was difficult to keep paws and shoes dry. With the return of blue sky I could see a difference in his eagerness to cover more territory and to garner more scents.
Perhaps part of the Christian’s journey through the storms and hardships of life is to emerge on the other side with joy, with wisdom of the understanding that our God has delivered us. We must rely upon God to show us the path of goodness which leads us away from the floods of evil.
Give me the strength in today’s storms to find Your deliverance to the dry and peaceful shore.
